Hi Roger's Mom,
One thing about The Byrds music is that it is timeless...I was a kid (15) when Roger chimed out Tambourineman...the world changed for me then. When I hear Byrds or Roger sing and play I become a kid again.
Thanks for bringing Roger to us.

Had the pleasure of meeting Roger after a concert at Wake Forest University. What a nice guy. It was a great night and a real thrill to hear his guitar playing live. No matter how good recording technology gets it will never equal hearing "Turn, Turn, Turn" live.

Been a Byrds fan since I was 9. Back then I would stay up at night changing channels and hearing one great song after another. That's when I heard "Mr. Tambourine Man" and "Turn, Turn, Turn" and was hooked. My parents suffered my interest in radio until the night I was up way too late and had hidden my big red Crosley radio under the sheets. Lightning ran in and I started a minor fire when the sheets got slightly burned. Naturally I grew up to be a manager of Emergency Preparedness.

Best wishes to you and happy blogging.

Mrs. McGuinn,
I had the opportunity to meet Jim (Roger) on Nov 27th, 2005 during a performance at the Old Town School of Folk Music. I teach guitar playing lessons there. He is a lovely man, and certainly was an inspiration to me as were the many famous and not-so-famous that have passed through the school's doors. I was impressed by his humbleness, and certainly impressed with Camilla's attention to detail and obvious devotion to him and their craft.
Thank You
Mike Blackburn

Hello Mrs. McGuinn,

Long time Byrds and Roger fan, but I haven't written you until now. I got a video tape of some tv show that Roger did in the 80s (PBS maybe?)and it was an uneditted version. Supposedly it came from somebody who lived in the same apartment complex as you at the time. Thanks for the dub. Can you get Roger to release "Light Up the Darkness" or "America For Me" on CD soon?
